Volunteer Position: Weekend Bag Prep Volunteer

Schedule: 1–2 hours, once a week; flexible day; must be completed before Friday serving time
Commitment: One-year term (renewable after review)
Mission Connection
Each Friday, Our Father’s Table provides weekend bags to ensure our guests have food support when our kitchen is closed. The Weekend Bag Prep Volunteer plays a quiet but vital role, ensuring these bags are ready, stocked, and offered with dignity to everyone who comes through our doors.
Role Summary
This volunteer prepares and maintains a weekly supply of take-home weekend bags. The role includes simple stocking, organizing, communicating inventory needs, and helping maintain a tidy prep area.
Primary Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble weekend take-home bags

Maintain a stocked supply to cover weekly needs

Keep the weekend bag area neat, organized, and clearly labeled

Monitor inventory and submit grocery lists to the Executive Director when items are needed

Communicate weekly when the task has been completed

Follow OFT food safety and storage guidelines
Qualifications

Dependable and organized

Comfortable working independently

Able to lift small grocery items and restock shelves

Alignment with the mission of Our Father’s Table Soup Kitchen

Willing to commit to one year of service
