Volunteer Position: Events Team
Reports to: Executive Director
Schedule: Monthly team meeting + additional time during events
Commitment: One-year term (renewable after review)
Team Size: 3–4 volunteers

Mission Connection
Events at Our Father’s Table — from fundraisers to special gatherings like our Christmas celebration — are an important part of both sustaining the ministry and building community. The Events Team helps create these meaningful experiences while supporting the financial needs that allow us to continue serving meals each week.

Role Summary
The Events Team is a small group of volunteers who work together to plan, organize, and help carry out all OFT events. This includes fundraisers as well as special events for our guests. Team members collaborate regularly, communicate with leadership, and take an active, hands-on role in ensuring events run smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities

Meet once a month with the Executive Director to plan and organize upcoming events.

Work collaboratively as a team to develop event ideas, timelines, and plans.

Coordinate event details such as supplies, setup, volunteer needs, and flow.

Communicate consistently with the Executive Director and team members.

Be present at events you help plan.

Serve in a leadership role during events to ensure everything runs smoothly and stays on track.

Step in to assist wherever needed at events if additional volunteers are not available.

Help evaluate events and suggest improvements for future planning.
